Death of a friend
no bees or butterflies hover
on her orchids garden
in the silence of this gloomy day
they also mourn the death
of their green-thumbed owner

Poignant, Vic. Despite the stillness of the garden without its creator, its beauty is a bit of immortality.
Thanks Nora! A very dear friend recently passed away. I don't mind saying I missed her. She is an orchid lover and you should see her collection! (I posted in my blog some more poems about her). Been busy these past days making a DVD of her and our trips together..
BTW, I revisited Sketchbook and saw your haiku. They are good - been saying you should think of publishing even a chapbook of your poems. Email me if you want to discuss this matter. Got to go.
