spring weeds wilt

in the ninety-four degrees-
june begins

.
a warm breeze -
falling elm fruits
catch the sun.
Morning tea
in the early sunshine.
Baby frogs scale the pond.

the fly's graceful arc ending
at the rainbow trout

Tits squabble over
birdtable scraps.
Fledgling swifts dart past.

a hand picks
faded geraniums

midday break
counting dandelions
on the creek bank
honeysuckle scent

the moon turns

into a flared nostril

spring wetland
the maple ripples
with the sky
Morning sunshine.
Observing with delight:
First garden poppy.
Festive Spring

Bold music bright out

from candy-colored cars

trilling festive spring

in the garden
chatting with the flowers
after today's shift
foggy morning
points at infinity's end
corner red lights
the ripe cherries

in the topmost branches

the worn-out brush in my hand
Rain patters down
from ragged, windswept clouds.
Lobelia blooms.
spring afternoon
the sound of gears and sails
from the windmill

muggy afternoon-
sweat pooling on my arm
as I walk to the car

Too Much of a Good Thing

.
Spring water logging
now surfaces the earth worm
- struggling to swim
May ends in drizzle
Gnome with his cigarette
