Rain again today;
Cold and damp, inside and out -
pot of tea awaits.

Ground thaw continues.
Earth sighs, and Vernal colors
replace Winter drab.

Blue-jays and kitten
meet at backdoor in detente.
Crow checks out jays' nest.

Warm evening breezes
make birds and flowers think May:
out of place in March.

Crystal raindrops gleam
along crow's ebony wings:
springtime dance attire.

The sky has fallen:
grape hyacinths catch its blue.
Heaven on green stems.
