Thank you, Nora. I didn't even realise it was Memorial Day in the USA today! Come to think it, maybe my haiku hints at the recurrence of wars since Roman times and up to the present day.
Don't you love synchronicity? Too much war, for sure.
I, too, thought you intended this as a Memorial Day piece. Very powerful, indeed.
