This is one of my earliest attempts; I based it on a Looney Tunes with The Bugs, Daffy, and Elmer Fudd. There was a scene in that a bee stumbles out of a flower onto the forest floor in a drunken stupor. Then, there is a scene where the gang is in the roaring jungle with an unseen chimp going ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, AH, AH, and Daffy yells: “QUIET!” Then the jungle becomes silent. I loved those cartoons.
Who would have imagined that someday they'd be inspiring haiku?
(I think I must have seen that one, because when I read your piece, the image of a drunken bee surprisingly came to mind...)
